So, what rubbish emails and calls have there been to Brooklands Radio station in the last few days?

An email we get regularly, offering fuel discount cards. It’s a legitimate offer  but we don’t have any vehicles and we have told them.

An invitation to bid in an auction in Italy for 19^th century engravings. WHAT ???

The usual invoice scam email asking us to open an attached file – but it is a compressed file and hence likely to contain a virus and the supposed company is in Bulgaria.

A spam message from a wanna be celebrity named Jesse McClure  offering to turn on Christmas lights, Christmas parties, TV commercials, grand openings etc. No idea who he is, but he certainly doesn’t lack ego.

An email supposedly from APPLE asking us to update our customer information and it has a fake email address [email protected], but the confirm button links to a website (tmh.main.jp) nothing to do with Apple. No thanks. Keep your scam.

These people just waste our time and clog up the Internet with rubbish.

So, what rubbish emails and calls have there been to Brooklands Radio station in the last few days?

A digital Marketing company trying desperately to sell banner space on the Guardian newspaper website. £605 for 28 days. But the Guardian newspaper in in desperate trouble with collapsing circulation and huge debts. No thank you.

A scam email supposedly from Amazon telling us to verify our account information. Just a pathetic attempt to get ID information to sell.

An email from Funding Circle offering loans up to £1,000,000. They must have a lot of cash to use up but you can see why people invest in Funding Circle rather than leave their money in the bank earning no interest. Shame that Funding Circle don’t bother checking who they are sending spam to. We’re a volunteer organisation – no loans.

An email telling us that FedEx have sent our parcel and we should open the attached shipment notice. But the attachment is actually a link to a malicious website.

One of hundreds of emails asking us if we use handheld devices. Just a pathetic attempt to get people to click on links to businesses which pay for clicks.

So, what rubbish emails and calls have there been to Brooklands Radio station in the last few days?

An email offering invoice funding. They pay you about 90% of the value of outstanding invoices then when the payments arrive they get it all. If they’d bother to check they’d have realised that voluntary organisations don’t invoice.

Nakashima Propellers Co Ltd want to sell us marine propellers. It’s fake – just a moron sending out rubbish to check whether email addresses are Live.

Yet another supposed tax refund – this one for £350.98, if we complete their form. Yeah. Right.  Another scam website.

A news item email about Gallagher class 5 end of line modules now available. Apparently it’s a specialised part of a specific high end alarm system. Maybe that’s of relevance to one in twenty million  recipients, but we certainly don’t care.

A free Marks and Spencer voucher for £100 and we just have to answer 3 simple questions on their website to win. This is Marketing drivel from tjoempamail who send out endless amounts of this rubbish. They are attempting to generate leads which can then be sold.
